Goo Systems and Rose Brand Rock ETS/LDI ’05 in Orlando
Wow! What a show! The ETS/LDI Expo, November 11-13, ’05 in Orlando saw the launch of two new and very exciting products incorporating Rear Projection Screen Goo and the awarding of a special prize to Rose Brand and Goo Systems. Rose Brand devised a short throw rear projection rig that uses a scrim mirror as the viewing surface. Lit from the front, the surface is a very high quality mirror. Illuminated by the projector from the rear and the surface becomes a rear projection screen! Very cool and likely to see use in retail, film and theatrical applications. The second new product on display was a short throw rear projection rig incorporating a hemispherical screen. Keep an eye open for these at better retailers and at theme park attractions. Visitors to the booth included representatives from major film production companies, theatrical producers, set designers, and lighting people. All seemed very impressed with the Goo! Award presentations were made the Saturday night of the show and we were very  gratified to win the Most Promising Prototype Special Effects Product. Many thanks to the Rose Brand team for the invitation to the show and for their efforts in promoting Screen Goo by placing it so prominently and effectively in their excellent booth.
